PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Explorers lacrosse is set to face the 1-12 Duquesne Dukes tomorrow, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
La Salle is in search for their first win on the season.
Scouting the Explorers –
- La Salle is most recently coming off a road loss to the Richmond Spiders this past Saturday.
- Alana Lathan led the Explorers in scoring against Richmond by scoring a first-half hat trick, her first of the season. This brings her goal totals to 15, which leads the team.
- Ellen Stickney tallied three points in the last game with one goal, and two assists.
- Katie Johnson continued her now six-game scoring streak against the Spiders. In that span of six games, Johnson has scored eight goals.
- Julia Dellaratta has started all 12 games in goal for La Salle and will enter tomorrow with a .376 save percentage.
Scouting the Dukes –
- Duquesne is most recently coming off a 17-5 loss to UMass last Saturday bringing their season record to 1-12.
- Mackenzie Leszczynski had two goals against UMass and now stands at 36 goals on the season.
- Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw is the goals leader for Duquesne with 43 total.
- Leszczynski is also the leader in draw controls for the Dukes with 63 this year.
- Mady Piersielak has started 11 games between the pipes for Duquesne and has a .396 save percentage in her appearances this season.
