PHILADELPHIA – Explorer women's basketball will play for their third win in a row, as well as their third conference win, when they take on the Massachusetts Minutewomen in Philadelphia on Saturday. This game will be the second leg of a doubleheader and will begin no earlier than 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle comes off of a hard-fought win over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Wednesday night 75-71. This win brings the Explorers to 5-10 overall this season, and gives them a 2-2 record in A-10 play.
- Makayla Miller and Jolene Armendariz combined for 34 points in Wednesday's win, a season-high 15 points was scored by Armendariz.
- Tiara Bolden started her second game of the season against the Bonnies and proved a strong 25 minutes both offensively and defensively. Bolden scored 13 points and pulled in three rebounds.
- After Wednesday's win over St. Bonaventure, La Salle now sits on a two-game win streak. The Explorers are 2-2 in conference play and rank ninth in the conference sitting with Davidson and Loyola Chicago at 2-2.
- The Explorers are ranked in certain categories within the conference worth noting: 3rd in 3-PT field goals made (117), 3rd in opponent 3-PT FG percentage (.284), 8th in combined team rebounds (36.3 per game), and 4th in steals (129).
- The La Salle vs. UMass rivalry has been recently controlled by the Minutewomen. UMass won the last meeting in 2023 and has taken five of the last six games over the Explorers.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN:
- Last time out, UMass fell to the Richmond Spiders on the road 79-65 to bring them to 3-13 overall, and 1-3 in conference play.
- The Minutewomen have two strong contributors on offense in Stefanie Kulesza and Kristen Williams. Both players are averaging 12.0 points per game and have each scored a total of 192 points this season.
- Williams makes her living from beyond the arch in three-point range. The junior has taken 103 attempts from three this season and is shooting 36.1%.
- UMass is led by first year head coach Mike Leflar, along with many first year assistant coaches.
