CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – La Salle women's basketball will travel to the commonwealth of Virginia to face ACC member Virginia Sunday afternoon. The game will tip off at 2:00 PM and will be aired on ACCNX. The Explorers enter the contest at 1-2 overall, and the Cavaliers enter at 2-1.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle will be looking to rebound tomorrow after a tough go around against the Drexel Dragons this past Wednesday. The Dragons topped La Salle 73-40.
- The La Salle offense was stifled against the Dragons, with no member of the team getting into the double-digits in scoring.
- Aryss Macktoon and Ivy Fox led the way in points for La Salle with six each. Macktoon continued to be successful on the boards, however, and finished with four.
- Ashleigh Connor ended her night against Drexel with four points and six rebounds. Joan Quinn also pulled in six boards.
- As a team, the Explorers struggled from the field against the Dragons. La Salle shot 27.3% throughout and will be looking to improve upon that against the Hoos.
- A handful of new members to the La Salle squad saw their first action of the season the last time out. Junior transfer Alisa Blalock made the most of her minutes as she totaled four points, two rebounds, and two assists.
- Freshman Sania Jenkins also saw minutes against the Dragons on Wednesday.
- This meeting with Virginia will mark the 43rd contest for the Explorers against a current member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
- La Salle has played the most games against Virginia Tech in their history against ACC schools with 11.
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS:
- The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 2-1 record overall this season. Virginia topped American and Radford in big fashion this season, but fell to #10 Oklahoma 104-68 for their lone loss of the year.
- The Hoos ended the 2023-24 season at 16-16. The fell to Wake Forest in the first round of the ACC Tournament, but competed in the WNIT.
- After a resounding win over High Point in the first round of the WNIT, Virginia fell to Villanova to end their season. The Hoos will begin their ACC schedule this year on the road in South Bend against Notre Dame.
- The Hoos have three members of their 2024-25 squad averaging double-digit points just three games into the year.
- Kymora Johnson, Breona Hurd, and Yonta Vaughn are averaging 16.0, 14.7, and 14.0 points, respectively.
- Taylor Lauterbach is the one to watch on the boards for Virginia. The center is averaging 8.5 rebounds per game this season. She pulled in 13 boards in the win over American.
