SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • The last time out for La Salle was an unfavorable result, losing to the Villanova Wildcats at home 14-4. The Explorers now sit at 1-1 on the young 2024 season.
  • After a first game against FDU where multiple players had multi-goal games, the Explorer offense was stifled by the Nova defense.
  • Only four players tallied goals against the Wildcats. Gina D'Angelo, Mackenzie Click, Claudia Steinmetz, and Ellen Stickney all scored for La Salle.
  • D'Angelo, Click, and Stickney all added onto their goal total from the game against FDU, while Steinmetz scored in her first action of the season.
  • Katie Johnson remains the leading goal-getter for the Explorer offense with six goals. Johnson had her opportunities against Nova, but could not connect. She finished the game with four shots, two of which were on goal.
  • Click is one goal behind Johnson with five, and also has six points. Alana Lathan, similar to Johnson, was locked out of the scoring department against Villanova, but she did record an assist and a point in the loss.
  • Through two games, Grace Lord leads La Salle in ground balls with six total. She's picked up three in each of the two games thus far. As a team, the Explorers had a season-high 19 ground balls in the loss to Villanova.
  • Mary Babbage got the nod in goal for the Explorers last time out. She recorded nine saves, getting her to a .333 save percentage on the year.

  • Manhattan has played three games so far this season and sit at 1-2 overall. They opened the year against the Rutgers Scarlett Knights and fell 10-20.

  • This past Wednesday the Jaspers earned their first win of the year with a close 8-7 win over the LIU Sharks.
  • The win over LIU was in triple overtime and Julianna Iovine scored the game-winning goal.
  • Reagan Mullins leads Manhattan College in goals this season with seven, she scored one in the win over LIU on Wednesday.
  • Ashley Gambardelia has the majority of time in net this season and enters tomorrow with a .373 save percentage.
