Jhamir Brickus

Men's Basketball | March 12, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – La Salle men's basketball guard Jhamir Brickus has been named Third Team All-Atlantic 10 as voted by league coaches, the conference announced Tuesday morning. The senior is the first La Salle player to earn All-Conference honors since B.J. Johnson in 2018. He is the 15th player in program history to earn the distinction.

Brickus started all 31 regular season games for the Explorers this season. The guard was the Atlantic-10's ironman, leading the conference with 36.4 minutes per game, good for 14th in the country. He is averaging 13.5 points and 4.8 assists per game, good for 17th and 3rd in the A-10, respectively. The Coatesville, Pa. native made headlines earlier this season when he racked up 41 points at Temple, setting a new Big 5 single-game scoring record. He ranks 8th all-time on the La Salle career assist list, with 418.

Brickus has nine career 20-point games and has scored in double figures in 64 career contests. He also has led the team in scoring 16 times in his career at La Salle. He has passed for at least five assists 32 times and led the Explorers in the stat 50 times.

La Salle (15-16, 6-12 A-10) will open the Atlantic 10 Championship on Tuesday afternoon when it faces 15th-seeded George Washington at Barclays Center. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
