SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle recently fell to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies last weekend 17-7 in a tough game all around for the Explorers.
  • The team's leading scorer Katie Johnson led La Salle in goals against the Bonnies with two, bringing her season total up to 18 goals.
  • The Explorer offense has hit a rough stretch in the last three games. Since scoring 21 goals against the Howard Bison, La Salle hasn't eclipsed seven goals in a game and are 0-3 in those games.
  • Alana Lathan sits second on the scoring list for the Explorers and she added another goal to her season total against the Bonnies, bringing it to 13 overall.
  • Senior Mackenzie Click came out of the gate this season on fire. She totaled six goals in her first three games this year, and is currently on a three-game scoring streak.
  • In that streak she has totaled three goals, but is helping the team in the draw control category as she sits at the top of the team with 47 collected this season.
  • Despite being last in shots per game in the conference this season, the Explorers have the third best shot percentage. As a team La Salle is shooting .497 on all shots.
  • When the team is a woman-up this year, they are successful at scoring in that situation. They sit third in the conference in this category, scoring two woman-up goals per game.
  • La Salle sits tied for last place in the conference with George Mason and George Washington, while UMass is tied for the top of the conference with Richmond and St. Bonaventure.

SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN:
  • Despite their 3-4 record, UMass has faced formidable opponents so far this season.
  • They began the year playing the #2 team in the country in Boston College, falling to them 20-9.
  • Most recently, the Minutewomen earned their second conference win over a tough Saint Joseph's team 16-11 at home.
  • Kassidy Morris is the biggest offensive threat on a team full of offensive threats. Morris leads the team with 23 goals scored this season, netting a hat trick in their last game against the Hawks.
  • Fiona McGowan is second on the team in points, having 12 goals and 15 assists this year. She leads the A-10 in assists, averaging 2.5 per game.
  • Catrina Tobin has spent all season in net for UMass and enters with a .374 save percentage.
