SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- The Explorers are coming off of a tough 17-5 loss to the Richmond Spiders last Saturday. The game was a tale of two halves where the Spiders dominated the second half of play.
- La Salle would gain momentum early in the game, scoring the first goal thanks to a converted free-position attempt by Claudia Steinmetz.
- Richmond would not be held down for long, though, and would answer every goal La Salle tallied early in the game before they took over late.
- Three Explorers scored in the loss, Steinmetz, Katie Johnson, and Mackenzie Click.
- Johnson remains as the team's leading scorer this season having notched 23 goals and 31 points.
- Click sits second to Johnson in goals scored with 14, but leads La Salle in the draw control category this year with 57 total.
- She is closing in on the single-season draw control record for La Salle which was set at 72 by Emily Johnston in 2018.
- Mary Babbage started the game in net for La Salle and finished with nine saves and 15 goals allowed. Her season save percentage sits at .359.
- Freshman Brooke Nelson took over for Babbage at the start of the fourth quarter. She allowed two goals and had two saves. Her save percentage going into tomorrow is .495.
SCOUTING THE DUKES:
- Duquesne had started off the season on fire going 5-1 in their first six games, but have significantly cooled off since conference play began.
- The Dukes are on a four-game losing streak and most recently fell to the Massachusetts Minutewomen 20-7.
- Two individuals sit atop the scoring leaderboard for Duquesne this season. Mackenzie Leszczynski and Corinne Webb each have 27 goals scored this season, over 11 more than the next person.
- Rachel O'Toole has spent a majority of the season in net for Duquesne and has started in all 13 games. She enters tomorrow with a .286 save percentage.
