Explorers Race at Temple Owls Invite

AMBLER, Pa. – The La Salle men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Temple University's Ambler campus to compete in the 2^nd Annual Temple Owls Invitational. Both the men's and women's race had four runners each place in the top 10.

HOW THEY FINISHED (WOMEN):

The Explorers placed second overall with a total of 35 points.
Helene Usher and Gwenno Goode finished second and third, crossing the finish line side-by-side with a time of 14:25 in the 4k event.
Amelia Artz finished with a time of 14:55.9 to get eighth place.
Stella Hammond got 10^th with a time of 15:04.4.
Ella Verello rounded out the team scoring for La Salle with a time of 15:18.6, good for a 12^th place finish.

HOW THEY FINISHED (MEN)

With a total of 47 points, the men's team got in a tie for second place.
Matt Hill led the way for the Explorers, getting fourth place with a time of 19:26.6 in the 6k race.
David Butts and Malthe Bogebjerb finished sixth and seventh, with times of 19:30.4 and 19:30.8.
Andres Hernandez got 10^th place with a time of 19:43.9.
Charlie Hazlett's time of 20:35 rounded out the team scoring, which landed him 21^st place.

The Explorers travel to Haverford College for the Main Line Invitational on Friday, Sept 20.
