Women's Basketball Travels To Dayton On Saturday

Dayton, OH - The La Salle women's basketball team will travel to Dayton on Saturday, with tip-off set for 1:00 pm.
 
The Magic Formula

La Salle is one win away from matching last year's win total. 
The Explorers are 5-0 on the season when scoring 65 points or more and 6-1 when hitting 23 or more field goals throughout a contest. La Salle is 6-3 on the season when making 10 or more free throws. 

Depth Is Key

The Explorers are averaging 20.6 bench points per game, which is sixth in the Atlantic 10. 10 or more players have recorded one or more points in seven of La Salle's last eight games.

The Series
Saturday's game marks the 44th meeting between the two teams. The last La Salle win against Dayton came in 2016 on the road. Last year, both teams were knotted up at 58-58 at the end of regulation, with the Flyers outscoring the Explorers 14-11 in the overtime period to earn the victory in a tightly contested matchup.

Dayton enters Saturday's game with a 9-6 record. The Flyers are 3-1 in Atlantic 10 action after most recently earning a 67-64 victory over La Salle's next opponent, UMass.

Newcomers are accounting for 74.2% of La Salle's offensive production on the season.

Connor Continues To Impress

Redshirt Sophomore Ashleigh Connor is the Explorers' leading scorer on the season with 11.9 points per contest.
Connor, who has scored in double figures in nine of her last 11 games, is getting consistent production at the free throw line. Connor has connected on four or more free throws in four of her last five games and is third in the Atlantic 10 with 53 made free throws on the season.

Stealing The Ball
 
La Salle is 70th nationally with 10.2 steals per contest, which is good for third in the Atlantic 10. Sophomore Aryss Macktoon leads the Explorers with 42 steals on the season, which is among the Top-30 in the country despite missing the last three games due to injury.
 
Macktoon recorded a career-high six steals against Northern Kentucky. 
 
Crashing The Boards
 
The Explorers are 73rd in the country with 13.5 offensive rebounds per game.

The Explorers will travel to UMass on January 15, with tip-off set for 11 AM.
