Women's Basketball Hosts George Mason On Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's basketball team will play host to George Mason on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
 
The Series
 
La Salle leads the overall series between the two teams 11-7. The last time the two teams faced off in Philadelphia, the Explorers led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter until George Mason creeped back up in the fourth to make it a two-point game. Charity Shears sunk a crucial three to seal the deal and help the Explorers to a 69-62 win over the Patriots. George Mason has won the last two meetings.
 
Connor Continues To Impress

Redshirt Sophomore Ashleigh Connor is the Explorers' leading scorer on the season with 12.1 points per contest and is also La Salle's leading rebounder at 5.9 rebounds per contest while leading the team with 53 assists on the year.  

Connor, who has scored in double figures in 11 of her last 13 games, is getting consistent production at the free throw line. Connor has connected on four or more free throws in five of her last seven games and is third in the Atlantic 10 with 61 made free throws on the year.

The Emergence Of Joanie Quinn
Freshman Joan Quinn scored 13 points against Massachusetts. The first-year Explorer has scored 12 or more points five times this season and is third on the team with 7.9 points per game. 

Przyszlak Shines 
 
Junior Anna Przyszlak contributed a career-high 15 points in La Salle's loss at Dayton. Przyszlak has started three straight games and is averaging eight points per game in the Explorer's last five games.
 
Magassa Fills The Stat Sheet
 
Junior Ayisse Magassa scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds against Dayton for her first career double-double. This marked the second double-double of the season for the Explorers and first for an Explorer against Division I opposition since Gabby Crawford recorded 22 points and 12 rebound sagainst Saint Joseph's on February 2, 2022.
 
The Magic Formula

La Salle is one win away from matching last year's win total. 
The Explorers are 5-1 on the season when scoring 65 points or more and 6-3 when hitting 23 or more field goals throughout a contest. 

Depth Is Key
The Explorers are averaging 20 bench points per game, which is seventh in the Atlantic 10. 10 or more players have recorded one or more points in eight of La Salle's last 10 games.

Scouting The Patriots

George Mason enters Saturday's game with a 14-3 overall record and 4-2 mark in Atlantic 10 play. The Patriots are 6-1 on the road this season and are coming off consecutive wins over Rhode Island and Loyola Chicago.

La Salle is 70th nationally with 10.1 steals per contest, which is good for third in the Atlantic 10. 
 
Crashing The Boards
 
The Explorers are 73rd in the country with 13.4 offensive rebounds per game, which ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10.
