Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle women's basketball team will host Saint Francis (PA) on Saturday, with tip-off set for 12:00 PM at John E. Glaser Arena.

First Impressions

The Explorers opened their 2025-26 campaign with a 71-59 road victory over Loyola (MD). Junior guard Aryss Macktoon led the way with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals in her hometown. Redshirt junior Ashleigh Connor added 20 points and 5 assists, while redshirt freshman Kiara Williams scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished 4 assists without missing a shot in her collegiate debut.

Scouting The Red Flash

Saint Francis opened its 2025-26 season with an 89-60 loss at Duquesne. Graduate guard Aleah James led the Red Flash with 17 points on 16 shots, while graduate center Sonia Sato added 13 points and three assists. Both players logged all 40 minutes, anchoring a young lineup that features several new faces after significant offseason roster turnover.

Chynna Bozeman, promoted to head coach this season, leads the team following a decorated playing career at Morehead State and a season as an assistant coach with Saint Francis.

Series History

La Salle and Saint Francis have met twice since the 2005-06 season, with the Explorers holding a 2-0 record. The last matchup came in 2021, when La Salle earned a 64-59 victory behind 18 points from senior guard Kayla Spruill.
