Philadelphia, PA – La Salle University has announced a change in the leadership of its field hockey program, as head coach
Michael Warari has resigned from his position.
A national search for the next head field hockey coach will begin immediately.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to have led this program over the past two years," Warari said. "The team made meaningful efforts to embrace the standards and playing style we established, and I'm proud of the culture we built and the progress we made together. I'm confident the foundation we've built will support the program's continued growth moving forward."
"We want to thank Michael for his dedication to our program and wish him success in the future," Vice President of Athletics and Recreation and Director of Athletics
Ashwin Puri commented.
Warari spent two years at the helm of the La Salle program, finishing with a combined 16-21 record. The Explorers started 5-0 in 2024 and finished the 2025 season winning four of the final seven games. In 2025, Warari led the Explorers to within one game of the postseason, including three one-goal losses in Atlantic 10 play.
