Philadelphia, PA – La Salle University announced a change in leadership for its women's lacrosse program.
Katie Rhodes Abbott has chosen to step away from the program and will not return as the Explorers' head coach.
"We want to thank Katie for her hard work and dedication throughout the last six years," Vice President of Athletics and Recreation and Director of Athletics
Ashwin Puri said. "We wish her the best in her future endeavors."
Rhodes Abbott spent seven seasons at the helm for the Explorers.
"I am grateful for my time at La Salle and am lucky to have been able to coach such wonderful young women over the years," Rhodes Abbott added. "I know the program is in good hands and will find success in the future."
A national search for the next head coach is underway.
