AMBLER, Pa. – The La Salle cross country teams competed in the Temple Owl Invite to start its 2025 cross country seasons Friday afternoon. Overall, the women finished in fourth place with a total of 113 points, and the men finished in third place, scoring 70 points.
Georgia-Rose Dawson led the way for the women, placing 17th overall with a time of 15:35.3 in the 4K race. Lexy Rivard and Stella Hammond were right behind Dawson, tying for 18th with an exact time of 15:35.6. Amelia Green placed 23rd with a time of 15:42.4, and Ella Verello rounded out the scoring for the team, landing in 48th place with a time of 16:32.2.
On the men's side, the five scorers finished in immediate succession of each other. Freshman Jacob Gardner paved the way in 16th place, finishing the four-mile run in 21:03.5. Nick Dobbie, another freshman, completed the race a tenth of a second later, placing 17th. Malthe Bogebjerg and Charlie Hazlett went 18th and 19th, finishing with times of 21:04.3 and 21:04.7, respectively. Callum Murray's time of 21:05.9 got him 20th place.
La Salle returns to action on Friday, September 19 when both teams race in the Main Line Invite in Haverford, Pa. The meet will start at 5:30 PM.
