Haverford, PA – The La Salle cross country teams raced in the Main Line Invite at Haverford College Friday afternoon. Overall, the men finished in second place with a total of 76 points, and the women finished in fourth place, scoring 112 points.
Amelia Green was the first finisher for the La Salle women's team, placing 16th overall in the 5k race with a time of 18:44.5. Stella Hammond followed quickly behind, completing it in 18:52.4 to get 19th place. Cara Coppolino and Lexy Rivard were next, placing 22nd and 25th and finishing with times of 19:12.5 and 19:16.5. Ella Verello rounded out the scoring, placing 32nd overall with a time of 19:26.8.
On the men's side, Charlie Hazlett took charge, getting fifth place with his time of 19:42.9 in the four-mile run. Malthe Bogebjerg finished 12th, completing the run in 19:57.7. Dylan Stoneman and Jacob Gardner were third and fourth for the men, as they finished with times of 20:05 and 20:25, placing 16th and 24th. Callum Murray was the final Explorer to score, getting 28th place with his time of 20:37.9.
La Salle returns to action on Friday, October 3 when both teams race in the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, PA. The meet will start at 10 am.
