Philadelphia, PA – La Salle Acrobatics and Tumbling earned its largest margin of victory in program history with a 230.470-215.120 win over LIU Thursday night in Long Island.
Leading by 3.700 points with two events left, La Salle posted its highest-ever score in the Tumbling event (50.950) and won the Team, 69.920-60.820, to pull away with the win and improve to 4-1 on the season with a pair of meets left.
The Explorers won five out of the six total events. In addition to the Tumbling and Team, La Salle claimed a decisive victory in the Acro (60.200-56.700) and had the advantage in Compulsory (33.300-33.250) and Pyramid (25.800-24.250).
Schedule-wise, it's the quickest turnaround of the season for La Salle. The Explorers return home Sunday afternoon against Georgian Court at 2:00 pm inside John E. Glaser Arena. It will be senior day.
