Pittsburgh, PA – La Salle's turned in its second-highest score in program history in its season-finale against No. 9 Duquesne despite a 263.400-247.630 setback in Pittsburgh Thursday night.

Ayanna Khalid-Manning competed in their final career meets and were honored as part of Duquesne's senior night.
The Explorers hung around tightly in every event against the nations' ninth-ranked team despite trailing in each. The highest margin of score difference in each of the first five events was 3.15 in the Compulsory, and the Explorers were within two points of the Acro, Pyramid, Toss, and Tumbling.
In the Tumbling, La Salle sent out
Sophia Mackow to perform the program's first-ever 10.00 start value open pass, and the freshman came through to score a 9.600 in the heat.
La Salle also turned in its second-highest Team Event score of the season with an 82.68.
Thursday concluded the program's inaugural season, in which the team went 4-2 with the only two losses coming on the road against multi-year established programs in Missouri State and Duquesne.
