Philadelphia, PA - Field Hockey Head Coach Mackenzie Allessie has announced La Salle's 2026 schedule, featuring eight home games and nine road contests. In her first season at the helm, Allessie will look to guide the Explorers to their first Atlantic 10 Championship appearance since 2023.
The Explorers open the 2026 campaign at home against Villanova on August 30, with the location for Explorers home games to be announced at a later date. La Salle will then head to New York for matchups at Cornell on September 4 and Colgate on September 6.
The team returns to the Philadelphia area to face Penn on September 11 before beginning a three-game homestand against Queens on September 13. The stretch also includes La Salle's Atlantic 10 opener against VCU on September 18 and a non-conference matchup with New Haven on September 20.
Following the homestand, the Explorers embark on a three-game road swing with contests at Lock Haven on September 25, Rutgers on September 27, and Richmond on October 2.
La Salle's final homestand of the season begins against LIU on October 4; the Explorers will then host Davidson on October 9, Columbia on October 11, and Saint Louis on October 16.
The Blue and Gold close the regular season with three road contests, beginning with their first meeting against Bucknell since 2009 on October 18 in Lewisburg. La Salle then wraps up the season against a pair of City 6 rivals, traveling to Drexel on October 25 and Saint Joseph's on October 30.
With 19 returners on the 2026 roster including six seniors, the Explorers are excited by the opportunity to improve on their 2025 season that saw them narrowly miss the Atlantic 10 Playoffs.
