Philadelphia, PA – The La Salle men's soccer team earned two Philly Soccer Six weekly awards for the week ending August 30, 2026, announced Monday afternoon.
Junior forward Gabe Faust was named the Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week. Faust found the back of the net four times in the opening three contests of the season, putting home a goal in each of the Explorers contests. He scored early in the second half against Lehigh in the season opener and tallied the lone La Salle goal in a tight setback against FDU. He then netted two against Keystone on Saturday.
Faust was joined in the weekly awards by freshman defender/midfielder
Sebastian Gubi, who earned the Rookie of the Week. Gubi opened his collegiate career with an assist in two matches, starting one and playing 103 minutes for the week.
Men's soccer plays again at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Lafayette.
