PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's basketball team returns from a week off for final exams, looking to capitalize on its last win with a tilt at Drexel at 7 p.m.

Scouting the Explorers (3-7)...

The Explorers went into the finals break on a high, edging Loyola Chicago 48-45 on the road behind 15 points from Brittany Wilson and 12 from Jordan Mosley. Ruvanna Campbell once again powered the La Salle defense, pulling down a game-best 12 rebounds and adding three blocks.

Although she was limited to just four points in Chicago, Alexis Scott iced the game with the final four points of the contest. She continues to lead the squad in scoring this season with 11.7 per game, while Wilson is the other Explorer in double figures with 11.1 per contest. Jada Payne chips in 9.1 points.

Campbell averages 7.7 rebounds per game, ranking her in the top 10 in the Atlantic 10, and is second in the conference in blocked shots with 2.6 per game.

Scouting the Dragons (4-3)...

Drexel returns from a week off, looking to bounce back from a 77-64 loss at Seton Hall. The Dragons last won at UNC Wilmington, and also own a commanding 71-50 win over Pittsburgh in late November. Tonight's contest is also only the second home game of the season for the Dragons, who opened their season at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Nov. 11 before playing six straight on the road.

Drexel features a pair of high scorers with Kamile Nacickaite averaging 18.6 points per game and Hollie Mershon adding 16.3. Both are also the top rebounders on the squad, averaging 4.6 and 5.1, respectively.

The Series...

Drexel owns 19-6 lead in a series that dates back to 1974, but the Explorers have won two of the last three. The Dragons took last year's contest 86-55 at Tom Gola Arena, while the Explorers won in their last time out at the DAC with a 68-57 decision. Nacickaite poured in a game-high 26 points in last year's contest, while Scott led the Explorers with 11.

Next Up...

The Explorers return home to Gola Arena on Thursday when they host Fairfield at 2 p.m.
