PHILADELPHIA - The 2011-12 athletic season kicks off on Friday, with the women's soccer team first to play in a challenging non-conference road matchup against Rutgers.  All-time in the Paul Royal era, La Salle is 4-2-2 in season-openers and have won four straight.  

The Explorers will conclude the opening weekend of action in Newark with another road contest against Delaware.  The Blue Hens lead the all-time series 8-6-0 with.  Last season, the two teams also met in Newark and the Explorers won a 2-1 decision in overtime.

Friday's game against the Scarlet Knights will be streamed live on RVision and live stats will be avaialble for Sunday's matchup against Delaware.
