STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The men's tennis team began its 2011-12 campaign with an 8-1 victory over Wagner on Saturday afternoon.

“That we were able to win the matches at the bottom of the lineup shows that we have a lot of depth on our team,” head coach Ed Colfer said.

Freshman Dale Fetterman blanked his opponent, winning each set, 6-0.
