PHILADELPHIA – Goalkeeper Melissa Sanger has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

Sanger made four saves in net during Sunday's 1-0 win over Princeton and in doing so, tied the all-time La Salle record with 16 career shutouts. 

The Explorers (5-0-1) have yet to surrender a goal this season and are off to the best start in school history.

Sanger and La Salle will look for their seventh straight clean sheet on Tuesday evening with a match up at Cornell.
