PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's tennis team opened their home schedule with a victory over Saint Peter's University, 4-3.
The Explorers (4-2) were led by a key doubles victory from
Thomas MacLeod and
Dale Fetterman. La Salle receive the doubles point from the pair, who played No. 3, with a 7-4 victory over their opponents.
La Salle and Saint Peter's were tied at three matches apiece after singles play. The Explorers received key victories from Fetterman, MacLeod and
De'Sean Fennell in singles play.
Fennell and Donovan also paired up to defeat their opponents, 8-6.
The Explorers will be back on the court on Thursday as they host the University of the Sciences.
Monday's match was the start of the final week of the fall season for the Explorers. The week consists of three more matches, including Thursday's home match.
