PHILADELPHIA -
The La Salle women's basketball squad, winner of back-to-back conference games last week, looks to extend its win streak to three as the Explorers host Atlantic 10 and Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's at Tom Gola Arena on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

The two squads met twice last season, including in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament, with the Hawks winners of both contests. The Explorers' last win in the series was a 65-50 triumph on Jan. 22, 2006.

Scouting La Salle (11-12, 5-3 Atlantic 10, 1-1 Big 5)...

The Explorers are coming off of an 81-67 win over Massachusetts on Saturday night. The Explorers led the Minutewomen wire-to-wire in a game that featured four double-digit scorers, led by Brittany Wilson's 18 points. Nadia Duncan and Michea Bryant added 14 and Jada Payne contributed 13. Ruvanna Campbell came one block closer to breaking the all-time freshman single season record while also pulling down a game-best 11 rebounds.

The squad ranks in the top half of the Atlantic 10 in eight different categories, including third in both field goal percentage (44.1 percent) and three-point field goal percent defense (27.9 percent).

Wilson continues to lead the Explorer offense, scoring 14.1 points per game which ranks her fifth in the Atlantic 10. Her 16.5 ppg scoring clip in league games ranks her fourth. She is also ranked in four other categories in league play, including ranking second in three-point field goal percentage as she hits 46.4 percent of her long-range shots.

Alexis Scott is the other Explorer in double figures, netting 12.3 per game. Payne contributes 9.3 ppg, but has scored 12.0 ppg in league play. She ranks fifth in the league in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 41.7 percent of her shots, and sixth in three-point field goals made with 1.9 per game. Duncan has improved to 9.0 ppg and ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage, hitting 68.3 percent of her shots in league play and 56.6 percent overall.

Scouting Saint Joseph's (14-8, 4-4 Atlantic 10, 1-1 Big 5)...

The Hawks enter Wednesday's game looking to snap a two-game skid, the latest at the hands of Richmond by a score of 78-59. Michelle Baker became the Hawks' latest 1,000-point scorer in the loss.

Baker leads the squad with 11.2 points per game and is the only player who averages 10+ points a game. Katie Kuester adds 9.6 and Ashley Prim contributes 9.2 points per game. Kelly Cavallo, who ranks second in the league in field goal percentage behind Duncan, adds 7.4 ppg and a team-best 8.4 rebounds per contest while blocking a team-best 35 shots so far this season.

The Hawks are 1-1 in city play, topping Penn 42-34 and falling to Villanova 52-46. The squad fell to Temple last week, but their later contest against the Owls will count for the Big 5 standings.
