PHILADELPHIA – This week the women's tennis team heads to the 2012 Atlantic 10 women's tennis championship, which will take place from Thursday until Sunday at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.
 
The Explorers are the 14^th seed in the single-elimination tournament and will face #3 Richmond on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

Junior Kiara Smith will play at the No. 1 singles slot.  Freshman Celesta Smith has earned the No. 2 position, while junior Elli Vamvakitis will play No. 3 singles.
 
At No. 4 singles will be sophomore Chloe Trave and at no. 5 senior Courtney Babo.  Rounding out the lineup is junior Jenna Manzione at No. 6 singles.
 
La Salle's doubles pairs will feature C. Smith and Vamvakitis at No. 1, K. Smith and Trave at No. 2 and Babo and senior Pearl Wilkins at No. 3.
 
Richmond is 10-4 overall in the spring season, including a 3-1 mark in A-10 play.
 
The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner of the #6 George Washington/#11 Saint Joseph's on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
