ORLANDO, Fla. - The La Salle University women's tennis team had its season come to a close on Wednesday, falling to George Washington, 4-0, in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The fourth-seeded Colonials earned the doubles point with a win at No. 1.
- The match was played in a format in which play was halted when the team competition was decided.
- With that, only one singles contest was played to completion.
- GW's Sarah Bodewes clinched the win for her team with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 4.
- Freshman Isa Leano hung tough with the No. 1 player from GW, and was tied with Stella Wiesemann through six games in the first set.
