ORLANDO, Fla. - The La Salle University women's tennis team heads to sunny Florida for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships, beginning Wednesday morning. The Explorers will face George Washington in the opening round of the tournament, with the winner to play the winner of Fordham-Saint Joseph's in the quarterfinals.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle has had a number of individual highlights throughout the season, led by seniors Aleks Nikolic and Jazmin Walle.
- Nikolic has earned three victories in singles action, while the duo teamed up for the latest doubles triumph against Saint Joseph's.
- Freshmen Isa Leano and Lauren Landstrom have also shown signs of promise, playing at the top two singles positions throughout the year.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
- The Colonials are 8-5 overall and have a 4-2 record in Atlantic 10 play this season.
- GW has won six straight matches entering Wednesday, four of which have come against A-10 opponents.
