PHILADELPHIA—La Salle women's soccer has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship, as announced by the league today.  The Explorers will look to defend their 2012 Championship title beginning with a match against George Washington, the No. 7 seed in the tournament, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7.  The tournament will be held at VCU's Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Va.

La Salle (13-4-2/5-2-1) finished the season in a deadlocked tie with Saint Louis University for the second seed, eventually winning the tie-breaker decided by wins against common opponents. 

The Blue and Gold will be seeking revenge against the Colonials, who snapped the Explorer's 19-game A-10 regular season unbeaten streak earlier this season in the city's capital.   

"[George Washington] defended us as well as anyone this year," head coach Paul Royal said, "so we know we're going to have to bring our best to move onto Friday."
