Women's Soccer | October 30, 2014

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's soccer senior Kelsey Haycook has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honoree, it was announced Thursday.

Haycook, who carries a 3.79 GPA as a nutrition major, leads the Atlantic 10 in goals (15) and points (33) this season as the Explorers sit alone atop the A-10 standings with two regular season games left. The forward is tied for second in the NCAA in game-winning goals (seven) and eighth in total goals.

The Point Pleasant, N.J. native has scored in every game during La Salle's current six-game winning streak, amassing nine total goals during the stretch.

Haycook is a three-time all-conference and all-region selection, and was an NSCAA All-American as a freshman. That season, she was also recognized as a Soccer America First-Team All-Freshman choice along with being named NSCAA All-Region and A-10 Rookie of the Year.

La Salle will finish regular season play this weekend on the road at Duquesne on Friday and St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
