Kelsey Haycook has been voted to appear as a semifinalist for the 2014 Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, which is presented each year to the best male and female players in NCAA Division I soccer.
The Point Pleasant, N.J. native is now among the top 15 female players as a semifinalist to be selected by a vote of current Division I members of the NSCAA, along with a weighted fan vote on Lockerdome.com.
The winners will be announced Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at the trophy presentation banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Haycook paced the Atlantic 10 in game-winning goals (eight), total goals (18) and points (39) this season. The forward ranks second nationally in game-winning goals, third in total goals, and seventh in points.
The Explorers will face eighth-seeded Massachusetts in the opening match of the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship at 11 AM on Thursday.
