View the NSCAA release PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team has earned the NSCAA College Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday. The team posted a 3.50 GPA to deserve the nod, the third-highest of any program in the Atlantic 10.
The recognition marks the 12th consecutive season the Explorers have gained the distinction.
Kelsey Haycook,
Maryam Huseini and
Jessica Wiggins all earned A-10 Academic All-Conference status this fall while Haycook was also recently named CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 880 college soccer teams (285 men, 595 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
La Salle was among 207 schools that both their men's and women's programs recognized after the La Salle men maintained a 3.04 GPA.
