La Salle holds a 3-0 advantage in the series that was renewed this year thanks to George Mason joining the Atlantic 10. The Explorers and Patriots met on Jan. 4, with the Explorers coming out with a 65-50 win in Fairfax.

Leeza Burdgess recorded a double-double of 10 points and a game-high 16 rebounds as the Explorers knocked off George Mason 65-50 at the Patriot Center on Jan. 4. Taylor Brown led the Patriots with 12 points and Janaa Pickard added a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers are looking to get back on track following losses to Richmond and Saint Louis. Cold shooting hampered the squad in both losses, with the team shooting under 30 percent in both. One bright spot was
Alicia Cropper's first career double-double when she scored 11 points and pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds against the Spiders.
Cropper leads the team with 13.5 ppg on the season and is pouring in 14.5 ppg in Atlantic 10 play. The point guard also picks up 5.2 rebounds per game while dishing out 2.3 assists.
Micahya Owens is second on the team with 12.7 ppg while chipping in 4.9 rpg. The rookie also leads the team in free throws, making 76.9 percent of her attempts.
Leeza Burdgess rounds out the top three scorers with 9.1 ppg while grabbing a team-best 7.4 rebounds.
Jasmine Alston is chipping in 6.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg and leads the team with 2.6 assists per game.
Cropper, Owens and
Siobhan Beslow are the three players who have started all 21 games this season. Beslow is pullibg down 5.6 boards while chipping in 4.7 points.
The Explorers are scoring 57.9 ppg as a team, but rank at the top of the Atlantic 10 by limiting opponents to 59.3 ppg. The squad is a perfect 8-0 when scoring at least 60 points. The Explorers also maintain a positive rebounding margin, outrebounding opponents 41.7 to 38.5.
Scouting the Patriots
George Mason is still in search of its first Atlantic 10 win, going 0-9 so far. The Patriots have given up over 100 points in two of their last three games, including a 103-81 setback at Dayton on Saturday and a 112-86 loss at VCU a week prior.
The Patriots are led by three players in double figures, including Taylor Brown's team-leading 18.1 ppg. She also adds 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
Janaa Pickard, a Philly native who attended neighboring Central High School, is recording 13.3 ppg and leads the team with 8.4 rebounds.
Sandra Ngoie rounds out the top three with 12.8 ppg along with 5.0 rpg.
The Patriots are averaging 69.6 ppg overall but have slipped to 61.6 ppg in Atlantic 10 play. They have also given up 76.0 ppg overall, a figure that jumps to 80.8 ppg in league games.
They have also slipped up on rebounding since the conference season started, as they are outrebounded 46.6 to 37.8 by A-10 foes as opposed to being outrebounded 45.1 to 42.7 overall.
