PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle cross country program returns to action this weekend following a weekend off. The Explorers travel to the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette and the Princeton Invitational, both of which will occur on Saturday.

At Lafayette the Explorers will go up against Loyola, Juniata, Lehigh, Iona, Columbia, Saint Joseph's, Rider, Penn, Oswego and American. At Princeton La Salle will run in the 26 team field. Later this year the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional will be hosted and run on the same course that the Explorers run on this weekend at Princeton.

The last time out La Salle split their squad up as they ran at the Paul Short run and the Greater Louisville Classic.

At the Greater Louisville Classic freshman
Kaitlin Poiesz turned in a top 100 time to lead the Explorers to a 24
th place team finish. On the men's side, a pair of Explorers finished in the top-100. Junior
Bradley Heuer finished 43
rd on the day while senior
Ian Barnhill finished in 74
th place to help the men finish in 13
th place. Sophomore
Dylan Titon also made his La Salle debut in the race.

Brendan Robertson was the top scorer for the Explorers at the Paul Short run crossing in 64
th place to help the men compile a 6-20 record at the race. Sophomore
Emily Ward led the women, with a 160
th place finish.

La Salle next heads to the Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted by the Richmond on October 31 with the action getting underway at 10 a.m.Â
