NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - La Salle freshman golfer Andrew Reynolds has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league office announced today.

Reynolds led the Explorers with a third place finish at the City 6 Championship, contested at the famed Merion East Golf Club. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native shot a four-over 74.

The freshman finished up a fine fall season with a 75.4 stroke average in four events. 

Merion East has been consistently rated in the top 10, #5 in 2015, by Golf Digest in the annual "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses", and it has hosted five U.S. Opens, most recently in 2013.
