MASON, OHIO- The La Salle men's tennis season came to an end on Wednesday as they fell to fifth seed Dayton, 4-0, in the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships.
 
The Flyers grabbed the doubles point to start off the match thanks to victories in the second and third doubles positions. Senior Dale Fetterman and sophomore Mark Robinson fell 8-2 in doubles two to Koross/Jayaram of Dayton. Doubles three saw senior Thomas MacLeod and freshman Liam Rodriguez drop an 8-1 decision to Sanson and Malyon. Sophomore Brian Balico and senor De'Sean Fennell were in a battle at singles with the score 5-3 when they stopped due to the other two doubles matches having been decided.
 
Singles saw the Flyers grab the three additional points they need to wrap up the 4-0 win. Rodriguez fell 6-1, 6-0 in singles six to Jayaram. Next to finish was Robinson who dropped 6-2, 6-0 scores to Fisher in singles four. The final match to finish was singles three where Fetterman fell 6-2, 6-3 to Berry.
 
Fennell was in a 5-6 battle in singles one when the singles and match point had already been decided. Balico was fighting back in set two at 1-6, 2-3 when they halted play and singles five was up for grabs with Macleod trailing 0-6, 3-5 in singles five.
