PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce the inaugural "Walk with the Women of La Salle Athletics" to raise funds for women's sports. "The Walk" will take place on Homecoming, Saturday, November 14, at 11 AM at McCarthy Stadium. La Salle Board of Trustee members Bernadette Mangan and Judy Spires will serve as co-chairs for the event.

For more than four decades, Women's Athletics has played an integral part in the cultural fabric of La Salle University. Competing at an intercollegiate level has provided numerous benefits for our female athletes, and women's sports at La Salle have been a source of pride for the entire University community.

"We have made significant progress in advancing the Women's Athletics program in recent years, and we are poised to make even greater strides in the years ahead," Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Brennan said. "But success will certainly require a team effort. Like other NCAA and Atlantic 10 Conference institutions, we need the support of alumni and 'Friends of Athletics' to continue moving Women's Athletics forward."

Alumni and friends of La Salle Athletics can participate in many ways:
