PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle men's tennis team fell 0-7 to open up its fall schedule on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Joseph DiOrio put up a strong fight for the Explorers in the number three singles spot, but fell 6-1, 6-4 to Paulus from Temple. Junior
Brian Balico fell 6-2, 6-0 to Canete of the Owls in the top singles spot. Singles two saw junior
Mark Robinson droped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Belkssir.
Singles four saw sophomore
Liam Rodriguez fall 6-0, 6-0 to Narun while classmate
Lane Bangis fell 6-0, 6-2 to Stipcic of Temple in singles four. The final singles spot saw freshman Brian Giuduci drop a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Glessing of Temple.
La Salle also dropped the doubles point with Bangis/Giuduci and Rodriguez/DiOrio falling 8-0 to Temple's second and third doubles team while the top double spot had Balico and Robinson fall 8-1 to Kapshuk/Dorash of Temple.
La Salle returns to action as they host the University of the Sciences on Friday, October 2 at 3 p.m. from Belfield Courts.
