NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – La Salle women's soccer goalkeeper Larisa Zambelli was named A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
 
The redshirt junior tallied two shutouts last week, keeping UMass and Davidson out of the net for a combined 216:24 as the Explorers went to double overtime twice to start A-10 play.
 
The goalkeeper from Deer Park, N.Y., recorded eight saves on the week, four against the Minutewomen on Thursday and four more against Davidson Sunday. Zambelli now has three shutouts on the season. 
 
The Explorers return home for back-to-back games at McCarthy Stadium this week, against George Washington on Thursday and Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
