PHILADELPHIA - La Salle men's golf freshman Evan Gaesser was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Thursday, following his performance at the fall season-ending City 6 Championship this past weekend.

Gaesser shot a team-best round of 73 to close in a tie for fifth individually. Gaesser carded three birdies on his round, including two over the first four holes to move to two-under par and closed three strokes behind medalist Amay Poria of Penn.

La Salle men's golf will return to action in March of 2017, beginning with the Campbell Invitational in North Carolina.
