Washington, DC – The Atlantic 10 Conference released three weeks of weekly golf awards, with the Explorers sweeping the honors for the week of the Carpetbagger Classic (March 21–22).
Junior Gavin Dosch was named Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career after posting rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E) to tie for 15th in a strong field. He led the tournament in pars made and produced the lowest two-round score on the second-place team.
Freshman Kyle Virsik earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors after finishing one stroke behind Dosch. Virsik previously earned Rookie of the Week recognition in the fall after placing third at the Temple Invitational.
The Explorers will head to La Tourette Golf Course on Staten Island for Senior Day tomorrow before concluding their season at the Atlantic 10 Championship two weeks later in Florida.
