Virsik Goes Low On Final Day Of Atlantic 10 Championship

Orlando, FL - The La Salle University men's golf team concluded its 2025-26 season with an 11th-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, held April 26-28 at the Evermore Resort Golf Club. The Explorers closed out the three-day event with a 54-hole total of 906 (+42), highlighted by their best team score of the tournament in the final round.

La Salle posted rounds of 308 (+20), 306 (+18) and 292 (+4), showing marked improvement each day against a competitive 12-team field. Richmond claimed the conference title with a dominant victory, finishing at 850 (-14), while George Mason and VCU rounded out the top three.

Kyle Virsik led the way for La Salle, tying for 20th individually with a 220 (+4) total. Virsik saved his best for last, carding a team-low 69 (-3) in the final round after opening with scores of 73 (+1) and 78 (+6). His steady play included 37 pars, ranking him tied for eighth in the field in that category.
 


Payton Hawke was next for the Explorers, finishing tied for 43rd at 227 (+11). Hawke's second round 72 (E) was a highlight. Gavin Dosch contributed a tie for 46th at 229 (+13), and his 39 pars ranked tied for second among all competitors.

Armand Loscalzo finished tied for 48th with a 232 (+16) total, rebounding from opening rounds of 79 (+7) to shoot a 74 (+2) in the final round. Alexander Yong played the first two rounds before being substituted for Declan McLane in the final round. McLane posted a 76 (+4) in his only appearance of the championship.

The Explorers will look to build on an impressive spring, highlighted by a T-2nd place finish at the Carpetbagger Classic.
