RICHMOND–The La Salle women's basketball team will take on the Massachusetts Minutewomen in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at the Richmond Coliseum on Wednesday night.

All-Time SeriesLa Salle has won six of the past eight meetings with UMass, including a 66-57 victory in Tom Gola Arena earlier this season. The Minutewomen won the most recent meeting, an 80-57 decision at the Mullins Center on Saturday, and lead the all-time series 16-11.
Scouting the Explorers-
Amy Griffin was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team, the conference office announced Tuesday. The sophomore leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 17.9 points per game this season.

Jasmine Alston finished the regular season leading the league in steals, tallying 67 thefts (2.3 per game) this season. The junior is sixth all-time at La Salle in steals, with 190 through her career, and remains just 43 shy of the record held by Jennifer McGowan (233, 1988-93).
-The Explorers are 1-1 against the Minutewomen in the Atlantic 10 Tournament since joining the league in 1995. La Salle fell to the Minutewomen in the opening round of the A-10 tourney in 2002 but claimed a 67-62 win over UMass to advance in the 2003 postseason.

Amber Wilks played a season-high 21 minutes off the bench for the Explorers on Saturday, nabbing a career-high nine rebounds and netting a career-high six points. The freshman's nine boards were also a team-high.
Scouting the Minutewomen-The Minutewomen enter postseason play winners of five straight games to close the regular season. Although UMass started league play with 11 straight losses, seven of those contests were decided by six points or fewer.
-Sophomore Cierra Dillard has netted at least 20 points in four of the last five games. Dillard averaged 16.0 points in two games against La Salle this season.
-Bria Stallworth, the Atlantic 10's highest-scoring freshman (12.8 ppg), was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team on Tuesday. The Chicago, Ill. native dished out 4.4 assists per game, also the most among rookies.
-Rahsida Timbilla enters the A-10 Championship Tournament with 998 rebounds through 115 career games. The senior is trying to become just the second player in program history to reach the milestone.
