Explorers Conclude Four-Game Home Stand Saturday Against Saint Joseph’s

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's basketball team will host the Saint Joseph's Hawks in the final game of a four-game home stand on Saturday afternoon at Tom Gola Arena. Tip off is set for 1 p.m.

Scouting the Explorers

-After a last-second loss to Harvard on Wednesday, La Salle hosts crosstown rival Saint Joseph's on Saturday afternoon. The two teams split last year's season series, with both teams winning at home.
 
-Adreana Miller netted a career-high 27 points on Wednesday against Harvard, going 10-for-18 from the field and 3-for-3 from the foul line.
 
-With two steals against Rhode Island on Monday, Jasmine Alston tied Jennifer McGowan (233 steals, 1988-93) as La Salle's all-time leader in career steals.
 
-As of Thursday, Alston was tied for 4th in the NCAA with 7.7 assists per game. The senior is one of just two players in the NCAA averaging at least 7.0 assists and 8.0 rebounds (Cherise Beynon-New Mexico).

-Amy Griffin dished out a career-high seven assists against the Crimson. The junior also leads the A-10 in scoring with 19.9 points per game, which ranks 19th in the NCAA.
 
Scouting the Hawks
-Saint Joseph's won their last two games, against Massachusetts and VCU, to halt a five-game losing streak.
 
-Sophomore Alyssa Monaghan posted a game-high 17 points in the win over VCU on Wednesday, while junior Adashia Franklyn narrowly missed a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
 
-Chelsea Woods, along with Franklyn and Monaghan are the leading scorers for the Hawks. Woods paces SJU with 13.4 ppg while Franklyn adds 12.3 and Monaghan averages 11.6.
 
-The Hawks are 2-5 on the road this season, including 0-2 on the road in A-10 play.
