NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – La Salle midfielder Danielle Marx was named Atlantic 10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
 
Marx scored two huge goals last week to help the Explorers finish the regular season unbeaten in A-10 play, including the game-winning goal in the 54^th minute of Sunday's 1-0 defeat of Richmond to clinch the A-10 regular season title. The Dix Hills, N.Y. native had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 2-2 draw at George Mason.
 
Marx scored with 50 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at Mason and force overtime after assisting Madison Bower's goal in the 52nd minute. The redshirt senior finished tied for 4th in the Atlantic 10 with 20 points and 5th in the A-10 with six assists.
 
The Explorers host Dayton on Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
