La Salle Enters Christmas City Classic This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's basketball team will play two games this weekend in the Christmas City Classic hosted by Lehigh, beginning with a Saturday afternoon tilt against New Hampshire. The Explorers will play either Fairfield or Lehigh on Sunday depending on Saturday's outcomes.

Scouting the Explorers

-La Salle has lost three straight after a season-opening win at Lafayette on November 10. The Explorers are looking to rebound from a loss to Temple in their home opener on Wednesday.

-Amy Griffin had a season-high five steals against the Owls on Wednesday. The senior is second in the A-10 with 3.3 steals per game and fourth in the league with 2.3 blocks per game.

-Three Explorers are averaging at least 5.0 rebounds per game in Griffin (5.8), Sofilia Ngwafang (5.0) and Jeryn Reese (5.0).

-Adreana Miller paced the Explorers in scoring for the second time in three games, dropping 16 points on the Owls.

Scouting the Wildcats
-UNH has won three straight after dropping the season opener at Xavier. The Wildcats responded with wins over Boston, Wagner and Bryant.

-UNH is No. 16 in this week's www.collegeinsider Mid-Major Top 25 preseason poll.

-Seniors Carlie Pogue and Olivia Healy carried UNH to the win over Bryant on Tuesday, scoring a season-high 23 points and a career-high 20 points, respectively.

-Senior guard Brittni Lai had a career-high 10 assists on Tuesday, while Kat Fogarty put up a double-double with 10 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
