MADISON, Wisc. – Winners of three straight games, the La Salle women's basketball team is back on the road this weekend as they visit the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday at the Kohl Center.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle has won three games over the last week, defeating New Hampshire and Lehigh in the Christmas City Classic last weekend before downing Penn at home Wednesday night.
-The Explorers overcame a feverish start by Penn to get the win on Wednesday. The Quakers scored the game's first 11 points and led 23-10 at the end of the 1
st quarter before La Salle outscored Penn 22-12 in the 2
nd quarter to level the game out.
-La Salle was efficient shooting the ball across the board on the night, hitting 22 of 45 attempts from the field (55.6%) and going 12-for-15 (80.0%) from the foul line. Both marks are season-highs.
-Redshirt freshman Shaquana Edwards led four Explorers in double figures against Penn with a career-high 20 points, going 8-for-10 from the field and dishing out six assists. The performance marks the first time an Explorer has shot 75% or better from the field (min. 10 attempts) since
Brittany Wilson went 8-for-10 at Northeastern on January 2, 2012.
-Ashanti Freeland had a game-high nine rebounds on Wednesday, which was a season-high. The Explorers are 3-1 this season when the senior pulls down five or more rebounds.
-Saturday's match is the first time La Salle will play a current member of the Big Ten conference since a 59-57 loss at Rutgers on November 17, 2013, although the Scarlet Knights were in their final year as a member of the Big East that season.
Scouting the Badgers
-Wisconsin defeated Pittsburgh 58-57 on Wednesday as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
-UW shot a season-high 85.7 percent from the free-throw line and dominated the boards with 48 rebounds to the Panthers' 25. Marsha Howard registered the first double-double of her career, tallying 14 points and 15 rebounds.
-Four of Wisconsin's last five games have been decided by three points or less, with the Badgers going 3-1 in those games.
-Although La Salle and Wisconsin have never met, UW head coach Jonathan Tsipis faced La Salle four times as the head coach of George Washington (2012-16.
