Scouting the Explorers
-The Explorers had strong representation on the Atlantic 10 Postseason Awards that were released on Tuesday, with head coach Jeff Williams earning Coach of the Year, Amy Griffin earning All-Conference First Team and Jasmine Alston grabbing a spot on the All-Defensive Team.

-Williams became the first A-10 Coach of the Year for La Salle (the Explorers joined the A-10 in 1995).

-Griffin, who also earned the final A-10 Player of the Week Award on Monday, improved to All-Conference First Team after earning a spot on the Third Team last season. The junior led the conference in scoring for the second straight year, and is averaging 19.7 ppg heading into Friday's game.

-Jas Alston earned her second All-Defensive Team nod after leading the league with 72 steals. The senior led the league in steals per game her sophomore and junior seasons, and garnered All-Defensive honors as a sophomore in 2014-15.

-The Explorers trailed at halftime to St. Bonaventure in their opening round tilt at Tom Gola Arena but used a big 3rd quarter to secure a lead going into the final quarter. La Salle withstood a furious SBU rally in the 4th, and improved to 14-0 when leading with five minutes left in a game.

-Adreana Miller had a team-high 20 points against the Bonnies, and helped close the game by going 5-for-6 from the foul line over the final 23.4 seconds. Alston had 11 points and matched her season-high with 13 assists to tally her fifth double-double

-Senior Lisa Mintzer tallied a career-high 16 points in the win over St. Bonaventure, going 5-for-6 from the field and 6-for-6 from the foul line. The Explorers are 3-0 this season when Mintzer scores in double figures.

-Griffin needs just three blocks to tie Linda French's program record of 55 blocks, set during the 1985-86 season.
