SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The La Salle University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at the hands of the University of Rhode Island on Friday afternoon.
Freshman
Ali Snyder earned the lone point for the Explorers, as her opponent, Emily Zargham, was forced to retire due to injury after winning the first set by a 6-3 margin. Snyder led the second, 2-1, prior to the injury occurring.
In other action, the team of Snyder and sophomore
Brittany Poje earned four games in their No. 1 doubles match with Rachel Smilansky and Emily Zargham, but lost, 6-4.
La Salle concludes the regular season on Saturday, April 22 with a non-league road match against Lehigh.
