SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Despite wins at three different singles positions, the La Salle University men's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 decision to St. Bonaventure on Sunday afternoon.
Junior
Tomas Christian led the way for the Explorers, earning a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win over SBU's Guillermo Garcia. Sophomore
Francesco Mowrey was victorious at the top singles spot, bouncing back from a first-set loss to take the second and third from Hector Martinez.
Freshman
Braden Ward was the third La Salle player to collect a point for his team, as he led 5-2 in the first set before his opponent at No. 6 had to retire due to injury.
St. Bonaventure was able to overtake the Explorers thanks to a doubles sweep and straight-set singles wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5.
La Salle (4-11, 0-2 A-10) returns to action on Tuesday, April 4 for a non-league road match against Villanova, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
